Booysens SAPS arrest 53 suspects in seven days

BOOYSENS SAPS officers arrested 53 suspects for various crimes between Monday, October 12, and Sunday, October 18.

Suspects were arrested for the following: common assault – one, assault with grievous bodily harm – one, contempt of court – one, drunken driving – 16, failure to comply with maintenance order – one, failure to comply with protection order – one, fraud – two, housebreaking and theft – three, housebreaking and theft business premises – one, illegal immigrant – one, malicious damage to property – one, possession of car breaking implements – two, possession of stolen copper cable – one, possession of dagga – two, possession of stolen motor vehicle – one, possession of suspected stolen goods – two, possession of unlicensed firearm – six, sexual assault – one, shoplifting – three, theft – four, theft of motor vehicle – one, trespassing – one.
