DA councillor going beyond call of duty
She is absolutely dedicated to the ward and goes beyond the the call of duty to assist and support her residents.
JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – It is just over 14 months since Clr Faeeza Chame was voted in as the new councillor of Ward 57 for the Democratic Alliance, and we have no doubt that the residents of that ward do not regret their choice.
She is absolutely dedicated to the ward and goes beyond the the call of duty to assist and support her residents.
The duties of a councillor are mostly to oversee the municipal issues and to ensure that service delivery by municipal entities are paramount, but Clr Chame has gone beyond that, arranging funerals for families who lost their loved ones and giving emotional support, arranging places for the homeless to stay, arranging places of safety for the vulnerable and she still manage all her daily duties as a councillor for the city of Johannesburg.
I, as a fellow councillor in the Johannesburg South Constituency, am proud to be associated with a colleague of this stature and believe that I also speak on behalf of many of the residents of Ward 57 in expressing our gratitude to such an amazing person.
