The Bag Lady

Well, it was all I expected and more!

Mall of the South is officially open and wow! We arrived at 06:50 and it was already buzzing. The queue for DionWired was so long. Whoever had the patience to wait for the special they wanted, well done!

I queued in the Coricraft line and was about number 15 so I qualified for the couch special, which I decided not to buy  but the young woman behind me wanted it and thought she may not stand a chance. The good news was she got it! It was wonderful to see how thrilled she was and she said, “It feels like I’ve just bought a new car”. Made our day! The mall is looking great and I’ll be back in the next few days to take a proper look around. As we left at 10:00 the queues of traffic were quite unbelievable, jam packed everywhere. What an opening day!

What’s new?

Mr Price Home is still one of the best home stores for well-priced goods and as I was browsing I saw  white artificial wood picket fence (three in a pack), which would  be great for a bordering around a garden bed, using around a garden pond or just for décor in the garden. The picket fence is about 30 centimetres in height and only R79.99 for a pack of three.

Here to stay

My condolences

One of my biggest fans, he never missed reading this column, John Curran, passed away on Monday September 21 after a tragic, freak accident. You were such an amazing guy, always smiling and you lived for your family. I’ll miss you. RIP.  The funeral will take place at St Paul’s Church, Tehore Street, Mulbarton at 14:00 on Monday September 28.

John Curran.

That is for this week. Shop till you drop!
