South Hills woman wins a Ford bakkie
A resident from South Hills won a bakkie at the Steeldale Pick n Pay draw held on Sunday, July 11.
JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Rabiya Umar, a South Hills resident and mother of twins, scooped Pick n Pay’s top prize when she won a brand-new Ford Ranger bakkie at the Steeldale Pick n Pay on Sunday, July 11.
Hundreds of Pick n Pay’s loyal customers came with their friends and families to witness the lucky draw and some were rewarded with other prizes.
“I am absolutely astonished to be honest. I seriously cannot believe this. This is a moment of disbelief. I want to say thank you very much to Pick n Pay for this,” said an excited Rabiya.
The competition draw was audited by Roy Avungana from Sixwe and Ntsaluba Gobodo, an accredited auditing company.
The well televised competition started on Wednesday, April 15 and required smart shoppers to spend R200 or more in-store and to write their name and contact details on the back of the till slip.
Rabiya Umar joined a list of winners who have been winning prizes such as hampers, microwaves and flat screen TVs in-store.
“This is our way as Pick n Pay to say thank you to all for shopping with us,” said Steeldale Pick n Pay’s general manager, Daniel Engelbrecht.
