Burger King finds its way to South

Not all southerners are aware of the latest branch

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Global fast-food chain franchise Burger King has opened its doors in the south, a year after the first store was launched in Gauteng.

While not all southerners are aware of the latest branch, which was opened at the Sasol garage, on the corner of Nasrec Road and Rand Show Road, in Ormonde View, on June 26, business is good.

Burger King Nasrec store manager Josephine Motlagedi said: “We never expected that it would be packed, but it was very full on the day we opened and we’ve been busy every day.”

In February, last year, the first three stores were opened in the north of Johannesburg, while the south has been been awaiting its turn.

The new branches being opened around the country are in line with Burger King’s expansion strategy within South Africa.
