Umcijo youth reach out to the needy

The organisation uses edutainment to educate the public about drugs, crime, violence and matters that affect society.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Umcijo Performance Arts, a youth organisation that educates and entertains through art, distributed clothes to the needy residents of Rosettenville on Saturday, July 4.

The organisation was very proud to extend a helping hand to seniors in Rosettenville who will now have clothes to keep them warm during the cold winter months. Umcijo would like to thank the concerned community members who helped the initiative with their clothing donations.

“Umcijo Performance Arts requests funds from private companies and the community to help us help the less privileged and to support us to enrich the needy,” said director, Ayanda Ndimande. “Our goal as a youth organisation is to use edutainment to speak to the public about drugs, crime, violence and matters that affect society,” she added.
