Help children reach for their dreams

Wear your slippers to work, school or the mall to helping children fighting life-threatening illnesses.

RESIDENTS are encouraged purchase Slipper Day stickers for R10 and wear their slippers on Friday, August 7, to help children fighting life-threatening illnesses.

Stickers are available at Wimpy outlets all over the country and all the proceeds are donated by Wimpy to the Reach For A Dream Foundation, an NGO which has dedicated itself to making the dreams come true for children with life threatening illnesses.

Residents can take part in the campaign by reaching for their slippers and wearing them to work, school or the mall.

For the second year in a row, residents can purchase stickers from any Wimpy outlet countrywide and show their support and solidarity for the Reach For A Dream Foundation. Participants will also be able to enjoy a free cup of Wimpy’s regular coffee on Friday, August 7.

“Last year, stickers sold through Wimpy outlets resulted in just over R1.1 million in funds for Reach For A Dream and this year we would like to sell even more stickers to our loyal customers to further aid this non-profit organisation”, said Karabo Morudu, Wimpy brand manager. “At Wimpy we are all about families and aiding in making seriously ill children’s dreams come true is a privilege for us as a group.”
