Pledge to make a difference with Nivea
Pay with Care is in full swing and allows consumers to ‘shop with a difference’. NIVEA has created a traveling ‘Care Bus’ and an online shop to reach as many caring South Africans as possible.
THE NIVEA Care Bus visited Southgate Mall from Friday, July 3 to Sunday, July 5, where consumers got behind the NIVEA Pay with Care initiative.
Instead of asking shoppers to reach into their pockets to make a donation or to buy a product to show they care, NIVEA is asking them to, quite literally, Pay with Care.
Pay with Care is in full swing and allows consumers to ‘shop with a difference’. NIVEA has created a traveling ‘Care Bus’ and an online shop to reach as many caring South Africans as possible.
When consumers enter the Care Bus, they are invited to choose a product and then sit down at one of the 20 iPad stations where they are assisted to log onto their personal Facebook page to make promises to care. Those who make a ‘Care Promise’ on NIVEA’s website will receive a R10 discount voucher that can be redeemed in-store. Consumers will also receive an email confirming their promises and asking them to share pictures of their caring acts.
The Care Bus will travel a total of 2 000km and reach 80 000 consumers throughout KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng and Mpumalanga. NIVEA will let consumers know where the bus will be via its Facebook page.
A simple act of care, no matter how small, can change a person’s life. “Imagine what a difference we could make in South Africa if we all commit to just one additional act of kindness! Through our Care is Beautiful corporate social investment programme last year, we encountered so many inspiring stories of South African people caring for others in their community in the spirit of Ubuntu,” said Kerstin Bird, Marketing Director of NIVEA’s parent company, Beiersdorf Southern Africa.
