Big bust in Bellavista

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Johannesburg K9 SAPS members busted suspects in possession of large amounts of drugs, a firearm and money, on Wednesday, July 1, during an early morning raid in Bellavista.

The communications officer for Booysens police, Warrant Officer Lorraine van Emmerik, reported that a 33-year-old female suspect was arrested for dealing in drugs, while the 43-year-old male was arrested for the possession of dagga.

Police received a tip-off from concerned citizens from the community and reacted quickly. They raided the premises and arrested another suspect who entered the property intending to purchase drugs.

A large amount of dagga, crystal meths, Mandrax, and Cat was recovered, as well as a stolen radio along with a couple of cell phones.
