Suspects busted with drugs and fraudulent documents

The arrest was executed by officers from the Johannesburg K9 Unit.

BOOYSENS SAPS arrested three men for possession of drugs and fraudulent documents during a stop and search operation in Chrisville, on Friday, May 29.

The arrest was executed by officers from the Johannesburg K9 Unit, who saw a suspicious parked vehicle with the back door wide open. Officers approached the vehicle to check if everything was in order and the owner immediately started running when he spotted the police. He was eventually caught, questioned and then he took the officers to a house where two more suspects were arrested.

“In the house there was a large pile of passports and ID books, documents and forms belonging to Home Affairs, which have already been filled in. There was also Mandrax and Crystal Meth,” said Warrant Officer Lorraine van Emmerik, Booysens communications officer.

The three suspects are aged 34, 39 and 40, and they will be charged for being in possession of drugs and fraudulent documents. Investigations are still ongoing.
