Two injured when bus collides with building

The bus driver sustained minor injuries and there were no passengers on the bus.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – A bus crashed into a building on the corner of Commando and Main Reef roads on Monday, May 11.

The bus driver sustained minor injuries and there were no passengers on the bus.

It is believed the bus’s brakes failed, resulting in the driver having to swerve to avoid hitting other vehicles.

The bus then went through a fence and collided with a building on the side of the road.

Pieter Rossouw ER24 spokesperson said: “When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene they found that the bus driver, as well as one person who was inside the building when the collision happened, had sustained minor injuries.”

Both were transported by emergency medical services to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
