Four-year-old drowns in swimming pool

ER24 paramedics and provincial EMS arrived on scene.

Kenilworth’s four-year-old boy drowned in a pool on Saturday afternoon May 9.

A statement from ER24 reads: It is understood family members took the boy out of the pool.

ER24 paramedics and provincial EMS arrived on scene.

Paramedics worked together providing CPR. Advanced life support treatment was also provided. Unfortunately the child’s vital signs did not return. He was declared dead.

Authorities were on scene.

Booysens SAPS, Communication Official, Warrant Officer Lorraine van Emmerik confirmed the incident. “I can confirm that this office is currently investigating an inquest docket that was opened on Saturday involving the mentioned drowning. Information is still been obtained surrounding the circumstances of the death,” she said.
