NFD champs, Golden Arrows

Newly crowned 2014/15 National First Division (NFD) champions, Lamontville Golden Arrows.

PREMIER Soccer League (PSL) CEO, Brand de Villiers has congratulated newly crowned 2014/15 National First Division (NFD) champions, Lamontville Golden Arrows.Golden Arrows were promoted back to the Premier Division after spending only a year in the NFD. This follows their 1-1 draw against Cape Town All Stars in Durban on Sunday May 3. Golden Arrows are now 57 points from 29 matches with only one block fixture remaining in the 2014/15 season.

De Villiers said, “The 2014/15 National First Division title race has been a great contest between some of the NFD clubs. Golden Arrows have been rewarded for showing consistency and determination throughout the season. We would like to congratulate Golden Arrows management, coach Shaun Bartlett, the players and the club supporters for this achievement. We would also like to commend JomoCosmos, Cape Town All Stars, Thanda Royal Zulu and Black Leopards, amongst others, for pushing the champions hard until this moment.”

Meanwhile, the PSL can confirm that Maluti FET College and GaRankuwa United have been relegated to the ABC Motsepe League.
