Unkempt old age homes

After pleading and begging with council to cut the grass for the senior citizens, Cllr Faeeza Chame said nothing has happened thus far.

THE grass in Moffatview Old Age Home is a real eyesore and nightmare for the senior residents.

After pleading and begging with council to cut the grass for the senior citizens, Cllr Faeeza Chame said nothing has happened thus far.

“I received numerous complaints from three old age homes; Northern Place, Karina Place and Moffatview. I took it upon myself to get a lawnmower and asked the community to get involved in cutting the grass for the seniors.

“At least now they can enjoy the short grass and not have to look at the one meter long grass. I just wish that council can pay more attention to the seniors and offer proper service delivery,” she said.
