JOHANNESBURG – Picture a tropical beach playground complete with sunshine, sand, cocktails and Calypso music. Imagine all this without a five-hour drive interspersed with ‘Are we there yet?’ Sounds perfect? Then Montecasino is the place to be from April 3 to 6 for the Zulu Kingdom Easter Beach Festival at Montecasino.
Bring the children along from 10:00 to 17:00 Friday to Monday to enjoy the best of kiddie’s beach fun, including treasure hunts, hoola hoop competitions, sand castle-building and tug-o-war competitions and more. While they’re getting rid of some holiday energy you can unwind and experience a taste of the very best of the KZN Midlands in the Midlands Meander Picnic area, a brand new addition to the festival this year.
And what would a beach be without a beach party? From 18:00 to 22:00 each evening of the Festival, from Friday 3 to Sunday 5 April, the Outdoor Piazza beach will be transformed into a Calypso playground, serving up marimba music, fire-dancers and a cocktail bar.
