Valentine’s Day at the Musical Fountains

It was the celebration of love in an all white spectacular picnic.

WEMMER PAN – Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo organised an All White Valentine’s Day picnic under Jozi skies at Pioneer Park Musical Fountains on February 14.

On entry to the park couples received roses and a fresh Cointreau Fizz cocktail. It was the celebration of love in an all white spectacular picnic.

Ward 57 Cllr Faeeza Chame, who also attended the event, commended Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo for organising the event. “I’m glad this event happened in our area. It brings people together, not only the locals, but also people from other areas. This peaceful event was beautiful, people went to see the fishing pond, swimming pool and the musical fountains. The fountains will be open once a month. These events need to be properly advertised so that people know about them. However this was a perfect night, thanks to Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo, media and everybody who made this day a success,” she said.

One of the people who attended, Reyaahn von Schaeffer, said he enjoyed himself with the group of people he was with. Among other people who attended were Spokesperson for Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo Jenny Moodley, PR and Media Relations Noeleen Mattera and the organiser, Hilda Thaha.
