Orlando Pirates goes into busy 2015 season

Orlando Pirates will commence with the second half of the PSL season.

ORLANDO PIRATES will look ahead to a very busy second half of the 1014/2015 season. The team will take on their CAF Confederations Cup schedule and will also be active in the Premier Soccer league.

The team from the South, that is based at the Rand Stadium, will have their hands full when they resume the second half of the ABSA Premiership league.

Pirates, who reached the final of the CAF Champions League, the last time they played in a continental competition, will be eyeing nothing less than first prize.

During the midseason break, the Buccaneers locked horns with four teams from outside the borders, in Sagrada Esperanca (Mozambique); Grupo Desportivo Interclube de Luanda, Bilankulu 11, and Petro Atletico (all Angola).

“It is no secret that Orlando Pirates is a big team with aspirations to compete and win on the continent,” said Tinkler. “With our CAF Confederations Cup campaign kicking off in March, we have to do our best to prepare the team, it’s an entirely different ball game out there.”

Pirates players are back from doing duty at AFCON and will resume the league with their team mates.

Pirates resume the ABSA Premiership season next week Wednesday February 11, where they will lock horns with Amazulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
