50th wedding anniversary celebration
South couple reaches the gold mark as they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
OAKDENE – A couple who has lived in Oakdene for the past 41 years celebrated a 50 year milestone on January 9.
Vanni Casasola (74) and his wife Fortunata Casasola (71) have been residents of the South since they were children and have continued to live fulfilling lives here.
Their children said of their golden anniversary: “We want to thank them for everything they have done for us and taught us. They are an inspiration to us and we thank them for showing us the meaning of family love and unity, and what marriage should be like.”
They have four children, Rinaldo, Lara, Claudia and Ivana Venter. They also have six grandchildren.
