New driving force behind the Proteas

Audi will become the Official Vehicle Partner to CSA and the Proteas.

Audi has signed an agreement with CSA that will see the brand become the Official Vehicle Partner to CSA and the Proteas.

The announcement, coming just two days before the Proteas kick off the Sunfoil Test Series against the West Indies, will see Audi gaining branding exposure both in the stadiums and on television. Fans at home and in the stadium will get a unique insight into player performance via the Audi Performance Tracker, and will be able to keep track of the speed of every ball with the Audi Speedgun.

“We are proud to be associated with another world-class brand, and it is simply fantastic to end the year by welcoming a brand new partner into our cricket family,” said CSA Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat. “There is no doubt that Audi is a global player and a great fit for the Number 1 Test team in the world.

“Sporty, sophisticated and progressive – these are the core brand values of Audi, most definitely values identified with the game of Cricket, displaying the synergies of these two brands and our partnership,” said Paul Sansom, Head of Audi South Africa.

“Audi South Africa is delighted to be the Official Vehicle Partner of the Proteas, and we are certain this partnership will allow us to not only expand our business in South Africa, but will also attract new supporters to Cricket as the team prepares for the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2015,” he said.

The Proteas are currently ranked the number one team on the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Test rankings. 2015 represents a big year for the team as they head to the ICC Cricket World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in February.
