FOREST HILL – Gardening, building, maintenance and general renovations are traditionally male dominated fields; however Forest Hill mother and daughter, Adel and Anthea Langton, have changed that.

They have a registered business, ABL Cleaning and Gardening Services, which they started last year December. They also specialise in steam cleaning of carpets, mattresses, sofas, vehicle interiors, tree felling and trimming, refuse removal, pool cleaning and maintenance.

“The support we get from our neighbours, who have also become our clients, is phenominal. We focus on providing services to the community of the South and have also cleaned local churches.

“As a woman doing gardening, pool maintenance, etc, I must say it has inspired a lot of the young ladies and the communities, we want to show that women can do anything they put their minds to. We as business women can play a huge part in our communities, churches and hopefully in our country, we want to empower women or even housewives or unemployed women,” said Adel.

Pastor Benny van Rheede from Word of Life Community Church in Bellavista endorses their service.
