Another Community march against drugs

The crowd made stops at the premises of drug dealers for SAPS to note

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – On Saturday September 6, the community of Ward 55 marched against drugs to the Booysens SAPS, where a memorandum was handed to Ms. Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane, MEC of Gauteng Community Safety, and Col. Lloyd, the Acting Station Commander.

The informative event was organised by the management of Fountain of Praise Ministries International, under the leadership of Ps Joe and Grace Ndhlela.

The procession started in Chrisville and meandered through Gillview, Bellavista, Turffontein, Southdale and Booysens, with the marchers stopping briefly in front of drug dealers’ properties for the SAPS to note.

The march brought together members of the ANC, DA and SANCO, who were led by Ms. Bernadette Beyers and Cllr Rashieda Landis. Among the marchers was the Chairperson of the CPF, Mr Tulane Mteto.

MEC Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane remarked that she was moved by the unity shown by both political parties in the fight against this terrible scourge. She promised the community that a response to the issues raised will be provided in writing in the next 14 days.
