Kaizer Chiefs gearing up for second MTN8 leg

Kaizer Chiefs are rearing to go into their second leg of the MTN8 leg against Platinum Stars.

Kaizer Chiefs are rearing to go into their second leg of the MTN8 leg against Platinum Stars.

“Platinum Stars is a very dangerous team and they have notched up quite a few wins against the strongest teams and trophies during the last season,” said Kaizer Chiefs Head coach Stuart Baxter.

On Sunday August 24, Kaizer Chiefs will face defending champions Platinum Stars, who will travel to FNB Stadium in an attempt to reverse a 2-0 deficit. The kick-off is at 15:00.

It will be against all odds if the team from Rustenburg can overturn the deficit. “We are focusing on our game plan and will not be handing out favours,” said captain Itumeleng Khune on their changes to advance to the finals of the MTN8 championship.

“We are playing the same structures for the last two years and are doing well with them, but the other teams always try to come through in something that will overturn us, so we must be ready to adjust as soon as that happens,” said Baxter.

Tickets are still available at Computicket for both matches.
