Silky voice of La Rochelle – Simah

Simangaziwe Nkiwane's music is inspired by her surroundings.

LA ROCHELLE – Kalawa Jazzmee Records made Simangaziwe ‘Simah’ Nkiwane’s dream come true when they recorded her single – Had enough.

The softspoken RnB singer from La Rochelle said this breakthrough began last year, when she phoned Kalawa Jazzmee Records. “After searching for a perfect producer for my music, I found that Kalawa Jazzmee Records was the perfect stable to record my music. Though I didn’t sign with them, I got a sponsor from JM Busha Investment Group to do my single,” she said.

Her music is inspired by her life experience, friends and surroundings. “I’m a very observant person; I listen to people around me and write my music. Some of the material I write about are love, women abuse and substance abuse,” noted Simah.

Simangaziwe started singing at the age of nine, and since then music has been her forte. “I remember at school when there were prize-giving, they would ask me to sing. Singing has been my strongest possession. Even my 11-year-old boy, Craig Nhlanhla, knows all the words of my songs and encouraged me to continue singing,” explained Simah.

By the end of this year Smah hopes to have recorded a 12-track album. She is also looking for two male dancers. She can be contacted via Facebook (Simangaziwe Smah Nkiwane) of through her fan-page Simah.
