Lights out again
Residents in Springfield have no idea where to go anymore, as they have requested that the lamppost on the corner of 15 Hippo Rd and Buchan Street, Springfield is out of order.
GREAT was the jubilation when their street lights were fixed after many years, but in a blink it was “lights out” again.
Residents in Springfield have no idea where to go anymore, as they have requested that the lamppost on the corner of 15 Hippo Road and Buchan Street, Springfield is out of order and they need to have the bulb replaced. The residents have reported it to Joburg Connect, City Power and Cllr. Dennis Jane, Democratic Alliance Councillor Ward 56, who subsequently also reported it and tried to get someone from City Power to respond, but to no avail.
“Seventeen days have gone by and still no response from anyone,” said the residents. “Clearly election time is over and trying to maintain support is a thing of the past. What happened to serving the community?
“We made repeated attempts to get someone to assist; we have even gone to the Southern COURIER. Where to from here? Yet another poor service delivery that is just being ignored! Its winter now and it gets dark exceptionally early.”
