Man killed in shooting incident in Townsview
On Tuesday evening, April 29, at about 21:10, man was shot in what seemed like a hijacking incident on the corner of Mabel and Valda streets, Townsview.
TOWNSVIEW – Information is sketchy at this point as the Comaro CHRONICLE/ Southern COURIER is unable to get any comment from the media spokesperson at Moffat View Police Station.
According to a resident who lives close to the accident scene, there were three vehicles, a white bakkie, a combi and a BMW at the scene of the shooting.
“SAPS and Emergency vehicles arrived on the scene not long after the shooting and I went down to see what had happened. I was told by one of the paramedics that the man who was shot had died at the scene. Other than that I don’t know what happened,” he told the CHRONICLE reporter.
