Minister Gert Oosthuizen speaks at AFEX 2014

AFEX proves to be a great success.

AFEX 2014 was officially opened by Hon. Gert C Oosthuizen MP, Deputy Minister of Sport and Recreation South Africa

He attended AFEX with his team and deliver the Opening Address in the morning on April 10 at the FNB Stadium.

AFEX wishes to thank the Honourable Minister for his continuous support for AFEX since the second edition in the series saw the event move to Johannesburg.

The support of Stadium Management SA for AFEX contributed significantly towards the delivery of a quality international event, focused on the development of African football business.

As a result of this sponsorship FNB Stadium, managed by Stadium Management SA (SMSA), has been identified as the host venue for AFEX 2014.

Jacques Grobbelaar, CEO of Stadium Management SA, addressed the audience on Managing Sport Stadiums in Africa.

Produced by Pinnacle Sports and Events Management, AFEX (African Football Executive Confex) 2014 had several local and national football representatives attending where it provided a platform to network, to share knowledge and to debate on issues affecting the development of African football.

“AFEX 2014 continued our mission to map a way of transforming African football from being an entity full of potential and opportunities into a business with real economic benefits for its various stakeholders. The conference provided a platform for delegates to benchmark African football business against international best practises.”
