Glenvista High school honours class of 2023

Glenvista High School's valedictory ceremony for the class of 2023 was nothing short of extraordinary, with outstanding achievements recognised and top performers such as Tristan Venketsamy applauded.

Glenvista High School hosted its annual valedictory ceremony on January 26, a momentous occasion to honor and celebrate the achievements of the matriculants of 2023.

The event not only served as a platform to commend the graduating students for their hard work and dedication but also highlighted the school’s commitment to academic excellence.

Among the highlights of the ceremony were the awards presented to the top learners for their outstanding performance in various subjects. One standout achiever was Tristan Venketsamy, who garnered an impressive seven distinctions, boasting an overall average of 92%. Notably, Tristan excelled in mathematics, achieving an exceptional score of 98%.

Reflecting on the school’s journey to success, principal Dr Thabile Morgan emphasized the importance of quality over quantity.

“What has led us here is that we set a goal to produce quality results, not quantity. This commitment to excellence has undoubtedly propelled Glenvista High School to new heights, as evidenced by the remarkable accomplishments of its learners,” remarked Morgan.

Morgan further expressed her pride in the school’s achievement, stating, “I’m proud to report that we produced the most distinctions in the district and the most bachelors. This accolade not only reflects the dedication of the students but also speaks volumes about the support and guidance provided by the school’s educators and parents.”

The path to success was not without its challenges, as Morgan acknowledged.

“We were unwavering in pursuit of this goal, and we stayed the course for months. It is through the collective efforts of the entire school community that such remarkable achievements have been made possible.

“I’d like to express gratitude to the parents and educators who have worked tirelessly to nurture and support the young graduates, guiding them towards academic excellence and personal growth,” said Morgani.
