A transformative day at Trinityhouse Glenvista Primary

The atmosphere at Trinityhouse Glenvista Primary School was charged with inspiration as renowned motivational speaker and influencer Jessica Pita graced the school through her captivating talk.

Students and staff of Trinityhouse Glenvista Primary School were graced with the presence of motivational speaker and influencer, Jessica Pita, on August 11.

According to Thando Mashinini, marketing manager of the school, Jessica left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of everyone present.

“At the core of her message was her unique perspective on equality and fairness, which resonated deeply with the school’s RDI programme (respect, diversity and inclusion). Her ability to relate these concepts to real-life experiences made her presentation engaging for the students. Jessica demonstrated that true equality goes beyond superficial differences.

“What truly sets Jessica apart is not just her insightful message but also her personal journey. Living with a visual impairment, she has faced challenges that most can only imagine. However, rather than allowing her disability to define her, she has triumphed over adversity, becoming an inspiring example of perseverance and determination.

“During her talk, Jessica seamlessly wove her personal experiences into a narrative that emphasised the significance of treating everyone with respect, kindness, and empathy. Her message encouraged the students to see themselves capable of being their own superheroes, empowered to create positive change in the world,” said Mashinini.

Mashinini stressed that Jessica’s engaging presentation style, filled with humour, vulnerability, and relatable 21st-century jokes, captivated the attention of the audience.

“The impact of Jessica’s visit to Trinityhouse Glenvista Primary School is immeasurable. Her words of inclusivity and empowerment left the students with a newfound sense of awareness and responsibility,” said Mashinini.
