Moffat View Police Station holds a crime awareness campaign

"The community should be vigilant at all times and be involved with their local community policy initiatives."

Moffat View Police Station recently held a crime awareness campaign in various shopping centres throughout the Moffat View precinct to ensure visibility at all major shopping centres.

Saie Pillay, the station’s main CPF representative, said it was a national SAPS initiative for the festive season.

“Acting station commander Lieutenant Colonel Shunny Govender and his team, along with the Moffat View CPF executive, organised the campaign.

“Representatives from the office of the MEC public safety occupied the teams on crime awareness campaigns at the Springbok informal settlements, The Joburg market, The Glen Shopping Centre, Comaro Crossing Shopping Centre, Southdale Shopping Centre including the nearby communities of Rosettenville, Turffontein, and Linmeyer Townview.

“The SAPS management and CPF executive would like to thank everyone who got involved, from the volunteers to the patrollers for participating without any expectation of rewards,” said Pillay.
