Highveld Primary celebrates 85 years of excellence
On September 24, learners, parents and staff of Highveld Primary celebrated 85 years as a school.
They incorporated Heritage Day and learners spent the morning showcasing their talents and entertaining the crowd. The day was filled with fun activities for the learners and loads of lucky draws, a potjiekos competition and raffles for the parents.
The principal, Estelle Douwie, shared that there were a couple of highlights during the day, which included them celebrating Carol Pettitt’s 50th year at Highveld Primary, the cutting and serving of the birthday cake to all the learners in attendance and the crowning of the Mr and Ms Highveld Primary for 2022.
“We would like to thank all our sponsors, we truly appreciate the support, kindness and generosity,” said Estelle.
