Take a bow Remax Randgro

The team from Remax Randgro took on an amazing challenge in February, when they successfully attempted to beat the Guinness World Record of collecting more than 10 000 kg of pet food for animal welfare.

SOUTH OF JOHANNESBURG – Their target was 20 000 kg and thanks to the generous support of many animal lovers, they came pretty close to achieving this. When the final weigh-in results were in, they had amassed some 15 500 kg’s of pet food. What a whopping achievement and one that has seen many animals benefitting.

Animal Anti-Cruelty League,  was one of the lucky beneficiaries to receive a portion of the pet food and when Remax representatives Terri de Beer and Mary Andalaft arrived at their premises recently, their bakkie was literally groaning under the weight of the more than sizeable donation of pet food.

Said Heather Cowie, Public Relations Officer:  “We are extremely grateful to the team from Remax Randgro, and all those kind members of the public who supported the attempt. Our shelter is pretty full at present with so many beautiful animals awaiting new homes. This boost to our stock of food, therefore, is going to make such a positive difference.”
