Mondeor CPF trains new patrollers

Residents tired of watching on the sidelines as Mondeor CPF patrollers make their areas safe receive training.

MONDEOR – A group of residents, who recently undertook to join the existing Mondeor CPF patrollers in policing various areas, were trained in the art of approach on March 9.

Although many of us feel that the manner in which we approach people is the proper way, the tips given to CPF trainees have improved their manner of approach, ensuring an effective outcome.

Mondeor CPF Coordinator Michelle Pelser said that the training entailed effective ways on how to communicate with people, whether they are suspicious individuals loitering in a residential area or members of the community.

The training was to educate trainees how not to offend people through either verbal or nonverbal communication, teaching them the dynamics of body language. Should any residents want to join the Mondeor CPF patrollers in making their areas a safe place, contact Mondeor CPF Coordinator Michelle Pelser on 084 292 9144.
