WATCH: Forest Hill murder case bail application postponed

Case postponed to January 28 for Legal Aid application.

The bail application for the murder accused in the case where Jamillah van Staden was stabbed to death on January 8 in Forest Hill was postponed to January 28 in the Johannesburg Regional Magistrate’s Court on January 21.

This was after the defence attorneys failed to pitch up in court.

Magistrate Beharie asked the accused whether he will apply for Legal Aid, of which he agreed.

“We cannot wait for your lawyers, as we have other cases,” she said.

Legal Aid was not immediately available on the day and it was said the case will be postponed to January 28 for Legal Aid application.
