Moffat View SAPS sweeps crime off the streets

Over the weekend, Moffat View SAPS curbed crime and made successful arrests in their policing precinct in their fight against crime.

Moffat View SAPS successfully nabbed 26 suspects for various crimes over the busy weekend from September 24 to 27.

The charges ranged from assault common, drunken driving, pointing of a firearm, and contempt of court as well as malicious damage to property under domestic violence.

Sgt Solly Matjila of Moffat View SAPS said they also arrested 15 suspects for contravening the Disaster Management Act and three suspects for interfering with police duties.

“Members of the community are also invited to apply for the reservists vacancies to perform voluntary duty in the SAPs. For more information regarding the appointment requirements, applicants must visit their nearest police stations,” he said.
