Cyclist shot on Swartkoppies

Among other crime news in the area, a Stallion reaction officer admitted to hospital after collision.

MONDEOR – A cyclist who was riding past The Bells Inn on Swartkoppies Road on Friday afternoon, was shot.

Paramedics were called to the scene and she was taken to hospital. It was discovered the gunshot wounds had been caused by a pellets from a pellet gun.

The woman is recovering and a case has been opened by Mondeor SAPS.

Stallion reaction officer admitted to hospital after collision  

A VW Golf was hijacked in Katlehong over the weekend and collided with a Stallion Reaction vehicle at the Engen Garage on the corner of Swartgoud and Rifle Range roads.

The suspect driving the Golf ran away from the scene of the accident. The Stallion reaction officer was taken to Lesedi Hospital in Diepkloof, Soweto.
