GALLERY: JSPCA inspector to the rescue

"Your donation, love and support is what keeps us fighting till the very end," said Liana Marx from JSPCA.

Senior inspector Ronald Ramalata of JSPCA was on his way to attend a call when he came across small children whipping a defenceless donkey recently.

The donkey had been whipped so many times he had severe hair loss on his backside. His hind legs took a tremendous amount of strain and he was in a near state of collapse.

Not only was the animal exhausted, but he had a horrible homemade harness strapped around him. The animal was immediately removed for safe keeping and immediate medical attention.

“As the owner was not present, we had to leave a note with the children urging him to contact us as they could not remember where they lived,” said Ramalata.

“Our inspectors travel far and wide every day and they stop and rescue as many animals as possible. They will never stop fighting cruelty.

That’s why we are asking you, as our loyal supporters, to help us to protect animals like this defenceless donkey by making a donation to help keep the inspectors on the road to stop cruelty against animals.

Your donation, love and support is what keeps us fighting till the very end,”said Liana Marx from JSPCA.

Donations can be made to JHB SPCA, FNB Southdale, branch code 254 205, account number 623 6250 8396, your reference “Support our inspectors”.
