Four suspects robbed the Sportsmans Warehouse at The Glen Shopping Centre and tried to make their escape through Orpen Road towards the N12 this Thursday morning, January 30.
“Mondeor SAPS tracing team were in the area and responded to the call and intercepted them at the corner of Comaro and Orpen Road. After a shootout, all four suspects were arrested with no injuries,” said Mondeor CPF sector 1 chairman, Mike Fontes
According to SAPS JHB District Spokesperson Jeff Phora, the suspects fled away after the robbery outlet but fortunately they collided with another vehicle.
It is believed that the suspects may be linked to a robbery at Southgate Mall two weeks ago as they were driving the same vehicle involved in that robbery.

The suspects will be investigated by Johannesburg trio crimes task team detectives.
Fox Security warns the community to stay clear from the scene.
Traffic jam all around Comaro and Boundary. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
