FOLLOWING a series of robberies and hijackings within the Moffat View policing precinct and the surrounding areas, police are appealing to communities to be on the lookout for a white VW Polo (fitted with police blue lights) driven by suspects wearing Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) reflector jackets.
Preliminary police investigation has detected that the suspects are mostly targeting the following vehicles: NP200, Toyota Hilux, and Hyundai K2700.
Suspects operate between 8am and 12 noon within the following roads: Heidelberg Road, Southrand Road and in Thulisa Park area.
Moffat View Saps communication officer Capt Jeff Phora said police are appealing to communities to be vigilant and not confront suspects if spotted as they are deemed armed and dangerous.
Communities are urged to contact the nearest police station or emergency centre on 0800 10 111.
