The Bag Lady

Woolworths does it again and I’ve never, ever seen these products before.

The word on everyone’s lips – Eskom! I know we have to learn to live with all these blackouts but quite frankly, it’s absolutely ridiculous! I feel sorry for us all, but especially families with babies and young children and the elderly.

How do you explain to a baby he or she can’t have warm milk? And the dangers for young families and the elderly in using candles is very risky.

Businesses are losing millions and smaller businesses are likely to have to close down if the situation doesn’t improve, which is highly unlikely. We’ve already been warned winter will be a nightmare. And can you imagine if the power outages affect our water supplies too?

Having no power every now and then is bearable, but I’ve, as well as many others I’m sure, been hit every day for at least four hours at one time or another. It seems there’s no quick solution and each and every person who is involved blames another. No person or entity is willing to take the blame and all it is doing is leaving a foul taste in all South Africans’ mouths.

With the elections around the corner, I really hope citizens make the right choice. What or who is the right choice you may well ask? That’s for you to decide! Enough dark and gloomy news.

What’s new?

SOMETHING NEW: Each bottle saves a full wash load, approximately 60 litres of water, and lasts approximately 25 uses.

Woolworths does it again and I’ve never, ever seen these products before.

Day 2 Denim Dry Wash Spray 200ml R99.99. It says it uses 0.02 per cent of water compared to a regular wash. It keeps your clothes looking freshly-pressed thanks to stiffening molecules and fibre softeners to keep your clothes smelling fresh. It also extends the life of denim by spraying between washes, protects fibres from wear and tear, helps protect denim colour, and slows down the fading process. It’s been tested on different denim colours, it’s also suitable for all denim – jeans, jackets or shorts – and each bottle lasts approximately 25 uses.

Day 2 Delicates Dry Wash Spray uses 0.02 per cent of water compared to a regular wash. It keeps your clothes looking freshly-pressed thanks to stiffening molecules and fibre softeners so your clothes smell fresh. It’s specially formulated to cater to most fabric types, including wools, knits, and cashmere. Removes build-up of odours and is designed to deliver freshness without causing damage. Each bottle saves a full wash load, approximately 60 litres of water, and lasts approximately 25 uses. It’s NOT suitable for use on silk, suede, lyocell, viscose, rayon and modal.

So ladies (and gentlemen) if the power outages continue and also if water interruptions begin, these two products could be handy to have at home.

That’s it for this week. Shop till you drop (if there’s electricity at the shops and malls)!
