Love sealed forever at Gold Reef City

Couples were also given a platform to get married or renew their vows at the Gold Reef City Chapel.

GOLD REEF CITY launched its first ever Love Lock Wall in a fashionable manner by inviting couples to celebrate Valentine’s Day on February 15.

The purpose of this couples gathering was for couples to show their commitment to each other by attaching a padlock to the Love Lock Wall and throw away the key.

Before sealing their love at the wall couples had to kiss and say three magic words ‘I love you’.

Marketing manager of Gold Reef City Feron Somiah said Love Lock Wall is similar to various love lock location around Paris and Gold Reef City offers couples a host of ways to celebrate their love this February.

“In addition to the Love Lock Wall, we had several promotions and activities lined up for this Valentine’s Weekend such as a Kissing Booth and the chance to win a two-night stay at the Gold Reef City Hotel.”

Couples were also given a platform to get married or renew their vows at the Gold Reef City Chapel, a gorgeous Victorian-style sanctuary dating back to 1879.

“Anyone can seal their love at the wall. All it costs is the entrance fee to the Gold Reef City Theme Park. Couples can purchase them for R60 at the venue,” said Somiah.
