Veli’s third book is on the shelf and speaks about switching your dreams on

During the writing of the book Veli realised that the question that many people have about their dreams is how to get there.

VELI Ndaba, a prominent writer and businessman from Alberton’s third book is on the shelf.

Switch On! deals with going from seeing your dreams to getting yourself to achieve the dreams you have envisioned.

During the writing of the book Veli realised that the question that many people have about their dreams is how to get there.

“If you have to cross a dark road that might have lions between you and R1 000, would you cross it?” said Veli.

“What if it was your child that is on the other side? Would you do it then?”

This is how Veli describes the importance of seeing the goal. He thought about what the factors are that limit us from reaching the potential locked in all of us.

Through this thought process he has realised that it is not enough for people to simply read but to ask the important question of what they learned. To pin people down and force them to consider the implications of what they read, Veli has added an interactive section to the end of each chapter of his new novel.

These sections have blank spaces the reader has to fill in to think again about what they have read and what this means for them going forward. Veli refers to this part of the reading journey as switching on. It forces you to take what you read and apply it to your own work.

The RECORD asked Veli about his writing process as having now completed his third book. He said that the process has gotten a lot easier. Writing and public speaking is something that he loves to do. He also spoke about the importance of feeding himself with positive messages and takes care of his body by going to the gym.

To young aspiring writers Veli gives the following advice: “Write about something you are passionate about,” said Veli.

“You should write from the heart and not from the head.”
