Clr Chame’s festive season message

Councillor wishes residents a blessed Christmas.

WARD 57 councillor Faeeza Chame wishes residents a blessed and happy Christmas:

“As another year comes to a close and we approach the festive season, it always seems appropriate that we take time to reflect on the year gone by.

“I have attended many events since having the honour to become a ward councillor. What stands out for me most is to change people’s lives and make a difference.

“Perhaps the most moving one was when I visited the orphanage in South Hills and there was one particular little girl who when she sees me her eyes and smile lights up. When it is time to leave she cries as if the heavens have opened.

“The holidays are a wonderful time for loved ones to gather and reflect on the year. They are a time to celebrate the coming year with hope and enthusiasm. This season let us all reach around us, let us look for those who might need an extra helping hand. Please drive safely and drink responsibly.

“I extend my warmest regards and best wishes to everyone. Good luck to all our learners who passed and thank you to the educators who taught them.

“May the spirit of this wonderful season be with you and your loved ones throughout the holidays, and many blessings in the new year.”
