Moroka High School will represent the Free State.

Moroka High School will represent the Free State province at the upcoming COPA Coca-Cola national finals after they emerged as the provincial winners at the COPA Coca-Cola Free State provincial finals played at the Bohlokong Stadium on August 25.

Moroka High School, who became the seventh school to secure a place at the highly anticipated COPA Coca-Cola national finals made their intentions of representing their province quite clear in their opening match when they eased past Lesaona Secondary School 3-0. Their second and final group match was against Mosala Secondary School who gave it their all but were no match for the Free State champions who emerged 3-1 winners to advance to the finals.

In Group B, Dr Cingo Secondary School faced Ipetleng Secondary School twice to determine who would face Moroka High School in the finals. It was, however, Dr Cingo Secondary School who were more clinical in front of goal with the first game going their way 2-0, while the second encounter was a comfortable 3-0 win.

The final match proved to be an evenly balanced game as Dr Cingo came back from behind to salvage a 1-1 draw to force the match into the dreaded penalty shootout which went in favour of Moroka High School by 3-2.

With Moroka High School securing their right to represent the Free State province in the upcoming COPA Coca-Cola national finals set to take place in Port Elizabeth between September 26 and 29, the global u-15 school’s tournament heads to the Limpopo province next weekend to determine who will represent Limpopo in the highly anticipated COPA Coca-Cola national finals.
