UPDATE: Baby’s body found in skip bin in Bellavista

Booysens police communications officer Capt Lorraine van Emmerik said the police have opened a concealment of birth docket.

ABRAHAM Jordan (46) was collecting scrap metal when he discovered a baby dumped in a plastic bag inside a skip bin in Bellavista at about 4am on August 6.

He put the plastic bag on the side of the skip because rats were eating the body of the baby.

“I was very shocked to find this baby because I live here and I normally search for scrap metal in the bin. This is so sad,” he said.

Carol Greeff said, “I am a resident of Bellavista and want to express my concern regarding the killing and dumping of babies in rubbish bins. If this mother did not want her baby why did she not put the baby at Cotlands Sanctuary? I pray the police find her as she should be held accountable for her crime. She should suffer the same consequence as that innocent life she took.”

Booysens police communications officer Capt Lorraine van Emmerik said the police have opened a concealment of birth docket.
