THREE armed suspects aged between 30 and 40 years old broke into a house in Oakdene (North Road), south of Johannesburg, and helped themselves to goods valued to an estimated value of R200 000 on July 17 at about 3am.

According to the complainant (42), together with three other housemates, they were asleep when three males woke them and threatened them with firearms, tied them up and started ransacking the house.

It is alleged that among other goods the suspects took were two motor vehicles (white BMW 320 E90 and white Chevrolet Optra), four cellphones, laptops, wallets (with bank cards, driver’s licenses and ID books), clothes and two television sets (LG and Samsung).

However, through preliminary investigation, police was able to identify one of the suspects.

Moffat View communication officer Captain Jeff Phora said all three suspects are still at large and police are appealing to anyone with information on their whereabouts to come forward or contact the nearest police station. Police are further appealing to communities not to approach the suspects if spotted as they are deemed armed and dangerous. Anyone with information about the suspects can contact Phora on 078 071 0342.
