IT has come to the Booysens Police Station’s attention that the following methods of robbing people are on the increase in the Booysens Area.
Method one: People are contacting ‘Trucks for hire’ companies and are asking for assistance. Once the company goes and loads the goods on the bakkie, they are told to go to a place in Booysens Reserve. When they arrive, there are people waiting for them and they are robbed. Please be aware of whom you are assisting and make sure you know the place where you are dropping off the goods.
Method two: Community members are leaving their idling cars in their driveways when they go and close their gates. Please do not do this. Switch your car off and lock your car before you leave the car to lock your gate. The community needs to be aware of what is happening around them.
