Child hospitalised after non-fatal drowning

A 5-year-old boy was hospitalised this afternoon, January 20, following a non-fatal drowning incident at a public swimming pool in Moffat View.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find lifeguards treating the young patient.

It is understood that the boy was pulled from the pool by the lifeguards, who had noticed him floating in the pool.

Paramedics took over the assessment and treatment before he was transported to Natalspruit Provincial Hospital for further treatment.
