WATCH: MOTS shares festive spirit

The South African Police Service (SAPS) band entertained all of the mall's visitors and tenants with their harmonic festive sounds.

MALL of the South celebrated in the Christmas spirit by hosting a festive parade for its shoppers on December 8.

The purpose of the festive parade was to kick-start Mall of the South’s extended festive trading hours from December 8 to 23 from 9am to 8pm on Mondays to Saturdays and 9am to 5pm on Sundays.

FAMILY PHOTOS: Santa and his helpers were at Mall of the South to take family photos for shoppers.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) band entertained all of the mall’s visitors and tenants with their harmonic festive sounds and comical festive characters got up to all sorts of tricks and added to the festive cheer.

Shoppers and tenants enjoyed switching on the Christmas lights in a little ceremony initiated by Ward 23 Clr Sarah Wissler who reminded shoppers and tenants that the festive season is not only about receiving presents but it’s about the special people in your life who give you gifts. This could be family, friends, your partner or anyone you consider to be special to you. Take the time to be grateful for all those people.

Mall of the South receives lost and found items on a daily basis. The items that have not been redeemed after three months are donated to charity. These unclaimed items were donated to the Disaster Management Centre which will be used when there is a disaster in Johannesburg.

It was a festive evening for all as the band echoed throughout the mall and the relevant authorities paraded throughout the mall.
