HERON Academy sprung into the new season by hosting a Food Day for the public, family and friends of the pupils from Heron.
Heron Academy is a remedial ADHD Tutor centre that caters for learners from grade eight to matric and is located on 56 The Broads in Mulbarton. The academy held this Food Day as a fund-raiser which turned out to be a success with over 400 hundred tickets sold.
Learners were grouped together and had to choose to represent a country. They had to dress up according to their countries and make various dishes their country is famous for.
Tickets were sold to parents, families and friends for only R120 and this entitled them to a buffet of various dishes. Guests were entertained by a live band and other entertainment. Groups outdid themselves to ensure that their country was the best but all displayed great pride, etiquette and hospitality.
