Two injured in car accident

The Toyota Hilux bakkie drove in front of the Chevy Spark, resulting in a collision.

ELANDSPARK: A car accident which took place at 08:30 on Thursday September 26 at the corner of South Rand and Heidelberg roads, left two men injured.

A Toyota Hilux bakkie drove across the intersection in front of a Chevy Spark, resulting in the Chevy being written off and the bakkie hitting another two vehicles, one stationary at the traffic lights. The driver of the Chevy said, “I was coming through the intersection from the Rand Airport side driving towards Tulisa Park, when the Toyota bakkie drove right in front of me. I hit him side on and he skidded into two other vehicles. The two passengers in my car are injured.”

Emergency vehicles attended to the accident and the two injured were taken to hospital for treatment.
